Digital marketing agency Spike continues expansion with new hires

Leeds-based digital marketing agency Spike has announced another round of recruitment with the hiring of two new staff. Data Analytics Software Engineer, Nasim Ahmed, has been appointed as the agency’s new .NET Developer and Victoria Baker-Haddock has also joined as an Outreach Executive.


This is Nasim’s first role working in the digital marketing sector and he will be working on a number of Data Analytics projects as the Spike team develops more innovative programmes.


Speaking about the new job, Nasim commented: “I just finished my first week at Spike, and it's been an incredible experience so far. The team is fantastic, and I'm thrilled to be working on some exciting projects. I'm also looking forward to growing my skills and contributing to the company's mission. It's great to be a part of such a supportive and collaborative environment.”


Victoria, who has a background in fashion retail and social media, will be working in the Outreach team as the agency's new Outreach Executive. This comes following Spike’s recent expansion of its Outreach offering, thanks chiefly to a period of strong growth and an increasing number of clients.


Victoria gave her thoughts on her new role, commenting: “I am so excited to be working for such an amazing company, with a group of fantastic people! I'm looking forward to getting stuck in as an Outreach Executive, striving to deliver great work, top results and developing my career within the world of digital marketing.”


The agency’s further expansion also follows the success of a double award win for their Paid Media work on behalf of client Mighty Drinks. Spike collected the trophy for ‘Best PPC Campaign’ at the recent Northern Digital Awards 2023 and was also named winner in the 'Best Use of Video’ category at the UK Paid Media Awards 2023 this week.


The judges of the Northern Digital Awards highlighted the amazing results of Spike’s Paid Media campaign work, remarking: "This was a great and well thought out campaign that used testing, evaluation and execution to deliver results that exceeded the brief. We particularly loved the creative concept and the great emotional assets to connect with new audiences."

The judges for the UK Paid Media Awards commented that:


"[Spike] stood out as a clear winner to us! We loved the video testimonial which showcased the client. We were impressed with the funnel approach with new creatives coming in an effective use of video, backed up the creative, with on-site content and education on product.


They achieved fantastic results and they tried to contextualise the position in the market versus the competition. Great work!"
