Aerospace recruitment specialists Red Diamond place new director of sales

Red Diamond Executive Headhunters has placed aviation sector expert Brice Dallard as the new director of sales at Aeroservices.

Brice relocated from Singapore to take on the role with the company, that supplies aircraft components, consumables, tooling and repair services to the aerospace industry.

Headquartered in Leeds with offices in Dubai and China, Aeroservices needed an experienced aerospace professional to join the business as director of sales. Having previously turned to Red Diamond to find outstanding management candidates, managing director Mashood Akmal again called upon the expertise of Emma Robinson and her team.

Particularly vital were the necessary leadership qualities to build on the company’s continuing success at this challenging time for the aviation sector as a whole, thanks to the impact of Covid-19.

Among Emma’s network of contacts was Brice Dallard, a business school graduate with a background in law. Brice had been recommended by a number of sources and Emma was sure the Aeroservices position would be a great move for him – despite the fact Brice was happy with his current job and lifestyle in Singapore.

Relocation is something of a specialism for Red Diamond; Emma has helped countless candidates move county, country and even continent to take up their dream role – and went through the process herself while she and husband Simon were based in the Middle East.

Happily, Brice himself was no stranger to the idea of relocation, having lived in the UK before working in Singapore, Vietnam and Toulouse – an area of France home to around 500 aviation companies including Airbus, ATR, Thales Alenia and Collins Aerospace. An added bonus was that Leeds is far closer to his native France.

For his Vietnamese wife and two young sons, the move would be more of a challenge. But Brice said that the help he received from Red Diamond, and Emma in particular, was invaluable.

Brice and his family are settled in Leeds and he is relishing his new role. He plans to stay with the company for many years, initially to help it weather the current coronavirus-related storm then to use his strategic planning skills to generate future growth.

Brice commented: “Emma knew far more about the aerospace industry than other recruiters might and had a great handle on what clients need and the qualities they are looking for.

“Also, you feel as though she is genuinely on the candidate’s side – she helps you to prepare, gives excellent advice and is in contact every step of the way, which makes it less daunting. It’s not as though you send off a CV to a recruiter, have a conversation then hear nothing for months.

“You feel every case she works on is important, which is quite a talent.”
