Press Release -Boiler Central

Full steam ahead for Yorkshire boiler installation company

Wakefield-based boiler installation and servicing company Boiler Central has experienced rapid growth since launching their online boiler service in November 2019. Within 12 months, they’ve grown the number of boiler installations provided to homeowners and landlords across the UK by 330 per cent.

The Yorkshire company aims to change the way people buy boilers - simplifying the boiler purchasing process and servicing existing boilers. Customers answer ten simple questions about their home on Boiler Central’s website, before choosing from a list of suitable fixed-price boiler quotes. After installation by one of the companies’ Gas-Safe registered engineers, customers can pay in full or apply for finance to make low monthly payments over a chosen period.

The FCA and ICO-registered Yorkshire company installs and services boilers nationwide, in partnership with Yorkshire Boilers, and has a network of over 500 installers in the UK. They also employ 20 office-based staff, plus five apprentices – based at the company’s headquarters in Wakefield.

The digital process means that customers can order a new boiler from the comfort of their own home, and have it installed within a few days. Boiler Central also offers the longest boiler warranty in the UK, with 15 years of cover on industry-leading Veissman boilers.

Boiler Central was launched by co-founders James Elston and Myles Robinson–former co-workers at Yorkshire Boilers and Jam Marketing. Together they have over ten years’ experience within the energy industry. The entrepreneurial duo spotted a gap in the market and customer demand for a more convenient way to compare pricing and purchase a new boiler online. James and Myles have ambitious growth plans for the young company in 2021, with ideas to improve their service for both customers and engineers.

The company is also looking at ways to double-down on their environmental responsibility, and previously won a local award for recycling old boilers.

James explained: “I’ve worked with Myles for many years and, our mutual experience has provided the foundations to build a credible, online boiler business.

“We aim to take the pain out of buying a new boiler with all types of payment methods available to the customer to match the needs of their home.

“It hasn’t been easy navigating the challenges of running a new business during a pandemic, but it’s reassuring to see the team’s hard work paying off.”

Myles added: “As online markets evolve; we are focused on developing Boiler Central as a national brand which puts customers first and offers competitive prices online.

“We’re already working towards future consumer heating requirements, investing in technologies such as hydrogen boilers and air source heat pumps so we can adapt to market changes and demands.”
