Lichfields Announces Key Promotions

In its London office Jennie Baker has been promoted to Planning Director. Jennie leads the company’s policy and law analysis team nationally and specialises in complex development management enquiries and Community Infrastructure Levy advice and strategies.

Also in London, Nancy Stuart and Nuala Wheatley have moved into Associate Director roles, following their success on Development Consent Order (DCO) and major commercial development project work. Colin Smith has been promoted to a Senior Townscape Consultant.

Other promotions include Heather Overhead in the Newcastle office, who specialises in Environmental Assessments and Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) on major projects; and Tom Willshaw who is an integral part of the development management team in the Leeds office. Both have been promoted to Associate Director roles.

The promotions follow the consultancy’s continued growth and commitment to nurturing its talent. Awarded ‘Consultancy Practice of the Year 2023’ at the sector-leading Property Week Resi Awards, Lichfields currently employs over 250 staff across its nine UK offices.

James Fennell, Lichfields' Chief Executive said: “We traded very well last year, and our promoted employees played a big part in that success. With no let-up in the pace of planning reform and a General Election not far away, they will have plenty to get their teeth stuck into. We wish them all the very best in their new roles.”
