Ardent

A leading surveying and consents management practice has strengthened its presence in Leeds by opening a new office.

Ardent, which has expertise in the transport, renewables, utilities and regeneration sectors,

has expanded into a new location in the city following a series of new hires – and plans for

further growth.

The company, which also has offices in Birmingham, London, Warrington and Dublin, is

aiming to reach a 250 headcount by 2026 and its teams in Yorkshire is key to that growth. It

has also expanded its office in Glasgow at the same time.

After six years in Leeds, Ardent is moving its 16-strong team into an office at 36 Park Row in

the city centre.

The new office allows for further expansion in the region and is the base for the company’s

new Planning & Engagement directorate, as well as delivering across all of its key service and

sector areas.

Carl Weaver, Chief Operating Officer at Ardent – which surpassed the £10 million turnover

mark in its most recent set of accounts and has undergone a major rebrand, said the move

showed the company’s commitment to all areas of the UK.

He said: “We’ve been established for longer in Leeds – since 2017, when we first began work

on HS2 Phase 2B. And, while that was the project that gave us a foothold in the city, we have

grown significantly since then and people from all service areas and directorates within the

business are now based here.

“Again, we are showing to Leeds and to Yorkshire that we are committed to investing and

growing here and the two new offices form part of our wider ambitions to double the size of

the business over the next three years.”
